The Arabian Epic Series is now in its second season and we have seen Cross-Country Marathon (XCM) racing grow across Arabia. We all know that it has gone global and that multiple World Series competitions are in place.

We bring this sport now to Arabia for a second season….with at least 3 multi-day long-distance XCM races in 3 different countries, plus 3 one-day XCM races in the UAE on different routes, the Arabian Epic Series is set to become a terrific challenge for the 2019/2020 season and continue to grow in popularity.

This season sees a change in the format and the 3 one-day races will become an XCM one-day series. The top 10 male and female riders from the XCM0.5 categories will score points at each race and the overall male / female rider with the most points after 3 races will be crowned the XCM one-day series champion. We will time the first 10 riders to cross the finish line at each race. Finisher medals and t-shirts will be awarded to riders who complete all three races of the series.

This is a demanding form of long-distance mountain bike racing, covering long distances in mountainous terrain. This is a significant test of endurance while enjoying the barren mountains, rocky wadis, old villages, and lush plantations.

Where is the start/finish line?

The Race Village is located in the grounds of Al Ain Zoo. This will be the location of the Start/Finish Area.
