Welcome to the first of four race nights held by Athletics Academy Abu Dhabi; the largest athletics club in the UAE with 300+ athletes. Athletics Academy provides training for athletes ages 3-18, from beginners to serious track & field athletes to hardcore triathletes! We train at 4 locations across Abu Dhabi; Yas Island, Reem Island, Khalifa City, and Hudayriyat Island. These race nights are held in partnership with Yas Cycles, OG Sport, Austral, and 321 Sport.

By what time should I arrive at the event venue?

If you are in the U9, U11 or U13 categories, you will need to arrive at the venue for 17:00. If you are in the U15, U17, or senior categories, you will need to arrive for 18:00.
Where do I go for the event?

The event is taking place on Hudyriyat Island, 321 Sport Athletics track. See map for location on other page.
Are spectators welcome?

Yes! we welcome spectators into the facility, however we ask all spectators stay off the track and remain in the designated seated areas.
What are my options for parking?

There is ample parking on either side of the track.
What estimated time will the event finish?

For the junior age groups (U9, U11 or U13), you will be finishing at 18:30, and the older age groups (U15, U17 or Seniors) will be finishing at 19:30.
Race Bibs:

All athletes will be given a race bib and safety pins upon check in. Athletics Academy race belts are available to purchase for 30aed.

Events & Age Groups:

Race Night 1 on January 23 will focus on middle distance disciplines; 800m, 1500m, and 3000m. This will be hosted on the 321 Sports athletics track on Hudayriyat Island and is open to athletes of all ages and abilities. There are six age categories: U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and Seniors (17-99). The age entered is the athlete's age as of the 31 August 2023. The registration fee allows athletes to enter a maximum of two age groups events.

Selecting the correct age group

Please ensure athletes enter under the correct age group, athletes will be disqualified if competing in the incorrect age category when presenting their Emirates ID at bib collection.
