Suspended 200 metres in the air, AURA is the world’s highest 360° infinity pool offering incredible views of the iconic Dubai skyline, Palm Jumeirah and the glistening horizon of the Arabian Gulf.

AURA invites the triathlon and fitness community to return for a second time to participate in this unique event with it being part of Dubai Fitness Challenge 2024. Row 3km (static rowing machine) then Cycle 3km (static bike) and finish with a 360° lap (250m swim) of the spectacular infinity pool.

• What is the format of the event? – Part 1 of 2

  Participants will ROW 3km (static rowing machine) then CYCLE 3km (static bike) and finish with a 360° lap (250m SWIM) of the spectacular infinity pool.
  • There will be 13 waves of 25 participants of mixed ages, genders, and abilities - so you will be racing yourself and the clock on the day.
  • Each Wave will start with a 3km row on a static rowing machine. Once 3km is reached you will transition to the 3km bike on a static bike machine and then finish with a 360 degree swim (250m) of the infinity pool. You will have 20 min to complete the 3km row as the next wave needs to start every half hour or on the hour so please understand if you are asked to move to the next leg so as not to delay the start of the next wave or similarly if you are on the bike leg.

• What is the format of the event? – Part 2 of 2

  • Participants will be automatically sorted in to your respective age groups by the timing system.
  • Each Wave will start at the same time so this means Gunshot Timing - you all have the same start time.
  • Once you finish with the swim and exit the pool your finish time will be calculated and results issued.
  • Any participant not completing the full course on the row / bike / swim will not be considered for any prizes.
  • When finished racing hand in your timing chip at the same place where you collected it and receive your finishers medal and goody bag.

• Are spectators allowed?

  Due to limited space at the venue the following will be allowed:
  
  JUNIOR PARTICIPANT: 1 adult allowed to accompany child
  ADULT PARTICIPANT: no spectators allowed

• Will I be able to practice on the rowing machine / treadmill before my Wave starts?

  We suggest that if you are not familiar with using a static rowing machine or static bike you go down to your local gym and try it out there before race day.
  There will be limited time for you to practice on the static rowing machine on race day and will only have access to the machine once everyone from the previous Wave has completed their 3km's and moved to the biking part. Only then will you be allowed access to the rowing machine to try them out before the race starts.
  There will be no opportunity to try the static bikes as they will be in use once you start your Wave.

• What are the race distances & categories / age groups

• What is the race day program & timings?

• How do I find my race number?

  Race Numbers will be allocated once entries close and be available for download as from midday on the Thursday before the Race.

• When is race pack collection?

  Race Packs can be collected from Race Check In on the morning of the race at the reception desk as you exit the elevator.
  Due to space constraints, please arrive no earlier than 1 hour before the start of your respective Wave.
  You must have checked in and received your timing chip 30 minutes before your respective Wave start.

• Data check - Did I register with the correct date of birth and gender?

  When collecting your race pack, you will be asked your full name, gender, and age. This is to check that you are collecting the correct race pack and that you are not entered into the wrong age category or gender. Please assist our staff with this data check to ensure the correct race results are recorded for all participants.

• What are the course highlights?

  360 degree views of the incredible Dubai Skyline from 200m above sea level.

• What about race numbers and timing chips?

  Race numbers will be allocated and need to be worn on the front of your body and for the entire event, including the swim - so make sure you bring a race belt.
  Timing chip must be worn on your left ankle.
  Timing chips to be returned after finishing the race.

• Wetsuits and Race belts:

  NO Wetsuits as pool is temperature controlled.
  Please remember to bring your own race belt to attach your race number to it.

• What are the support stations and where are they placed?

  Water stations at each leg as well as other refreshments at the finish line.

• Are there any Family Discounts available?

  Due to the limiited number of participants no family discounts will be available for this event.

• Where can I find the results?

  Full results will be on the Super Sports website as soon as possible at http://www.supersportsuae.com.

• Where can I find the race photos?

  Photos can be found on your results page by clicking on the CAMERA icon and then doing a bib or selfie search. Photos will be available 24 hours after the race has finished. Individual photos are not included in the race fee nor guaranteed.

• Any additional information participants should know about?

  All information regarding the Race (Race Briefing, Race Course etc.) can be found in the Event Downloads section of this Race (on the right side of this page), so ensure you have a clear understanding of the rules and regulations as well as what the course will look like / entail.

• Why have I not received any race emails from the event organizer?

  Race emails are sent during the week of the event. Make sure to register with the correct email ID so that you receive these emails.
  
  Please note company email ID’s are often blocked by the company service provider. If you do not receive these emails, please check your spam, junk or promotions folder and mark us as ‘not spam’ to ensure that you receive future race information emails from us. If you still have any trouble with this, please contact us on [email protected].
  
  If more than one athlete is registered using the same email ID, only one email will be sent, as the server only recognizes the email ID once.
  
  1st race email will be sent on the Monday, before the event, at 2pm.
  2nd race email with race number & all race info will be sent on the Thursday, before the event, before 5pm.
  3rd race email with race results and photo links will be sent on the Saturday - race day, before 8pm.

• Refunds/Cancellations

  Once entries close or the event is sold out, no refunds are possible for whatever reason which includes and is not limited to: change in personal circumstances, sickness, travel restrictions, or any circumstances which may prevent you from participating in the event.
  Unclaimed run packs including shirt, medal, snack, and the voucher will be forfeited in full after the start of a respective distance.

• Waht time does the event finish?

  Due to space constraints at the venue, participants and their supporters are encouraged to enjoy the facilities before and during the race and as soon as you have finished participating to make your way from the venue to make space for those arriving to start their race.
  
  Normal operating hours of the venue will start from 1pm and all equipment and furniture needs to be back in place by 1pm so the sooner you can vacate the venue the better for the support staff to place all back.
