Get Ready for the Burjeel Fun ride on Al Hudayriyat Island! Join us on the 28th of January for a thrilling day of family fun and fitness at the Burjeel Fun Ride, taking place at the picturesque Al Hudayriyat Island! This event is designed with families in mind, creating a perfect blend of outdoor excitement and togetherness. Choose your adventure with two exciting distances - 11km or 22km. Whether you're a casual rider or seeking a bit more challenge, there's something for everyone. This is not a timed race! It's all about enjoying the ride, making memories, and basking in the beautiful surroundings of Al Hudayriyat Island. Gather the whole family and embark on a cycling journey together. The Burjeel Fun Ride encourages bonding, laughter, and the joy of shared experiences. Pedal through the stunning landscapes of Al Hudayriyat Island, offering breathtaking views and a refreshing breeze from the Arabian Gulf. This is a fun ride and NOT a timed race.....however we have an 'in ride' challenge for you. We have selected a small section of the course (a hill!) that will be timed, don't worry its only 200m long. The person that climbs the hill the fastest wins! Please note that participants should bring their own bicycles and helmets are MANDATORY for all riders.

• By what time should I arrive at the event venue?

  Please arrive at the venue no later that 30 minutes before your start time.

• What is the event day program?

  Be at the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of your respective race.
  
  2:00pm - BIB collection OPENS
  3:45pm - BIB collection CLOSES
  4:00pm - 30km FUN RIDE starts
  4:05pm - 15km FUN RIDE starts
  7:00pm - EVENT CUT OFF TIME

• Where do I go for the event?

  Please see the Event Location map on this page.

• What are my options for parking?

  Please follow the marshals' directions and signs to the designated parking area. Parking is outside ADCC and Wolfis.

• BIB Number collection details?

  Your BIB number will be available for collection close to the start line as per the Race Day Schedule. Race Pack Collection will be outside Abu Dhabi Cycling Club HQ on Al Hudayriat Island.
  • BIB numbers will be sent to you via SMS the night before the race, please know your bib number before you arrive at the BIB collection desk
  • You must have checked in and received your BIB 30 minutes before your ride started

• Are there bag drop facilities?

  No there will be no bag drop at the event.

• Will there be support stations? If yes, how many, where, providing what support?

  There will be water stations in the race village and out on the course.

• What estimated time will the event finish?

  The cut off time for the event is 7pm allowing 3 hours for participants to complete their chosen distance
  Please keep this in mind when registering for your event.

• Volunteers:

  Please thank the volunteers as they are volunteering their own time to help you enjoy your race and get you home safely to your families. Please also respect the host community as we are guests and please adhere to best practices to help protect others. You MUST wear an appropriate mask whilst moving in and around the venue prior to the start of your run. Whilst running in your race you may remove your mask but please remember to maintain the noted distance between runners and allow adequate spacing when passing other runners. Bag Drop - There will be NO bag drop onsite.

• Bike Rules:

  Bike direction will follow the normal traffic direction
  • All participants shall wear a protective helmet, undamaged and unaltered, which meets or exceeds the safety standards of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
  • The helmet must be fastened before the participant first mounts the bicycle; at all times when the participant is on the bicycle and must not be unfastened until the participant has dismounted.
  • Cyclists must travel in an anti-clockwise direction on the track and stay on the track at all times.
  • Slower cyclists should stay on the RIGHT (outer edge) of the track to allow faster riders to pass on the LEFT (inside edge)
