Enjoy a free day of fitness at Hatta
Dubai Fitness Challenge returns with the second edition of Dubai Stand Up Paddle, set against the stunning backdrop of Hatta Dam. Stand Up Paddle is a fun and effective way to boost your core strength and cardio fitness, while enjoying a great day out with family and friends.
Designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned paddlers, the event features sessions tailored to your ability. For those proficient in SUP, we’re also offering a Sunset Yoga session on the water at 4:15pm and 5:00pm.
Families with kids can join dedicated training sessions at 12:45pm and 2pm and will receive certificates of achievement. Parents can book into these sessions at their discretion.
New for 2024, participants can also enjoy free Hatta Kayak sessions throughout the day, with bookings available onsite (subject to availability).
Shuttle buses will be available (subject to availability) from Dubai World Trade Centre to Hatta and back, making your trip to the event seamless.

What is the event about?
Dubai Fitness Challenge presents the second edition of Dubai Stand Up Paddle at Hatta Dam. It’s a free event for all fitness levels, featuring stand-up paddleboarding, sunset yoga, and kayaking in the stunning natural setting of Hatta.

What happens in each session
Training Sessions
These are aimed at complete beginners or those that want to refresh their SUP skills.
Learn how to stand up on the board, learn how to balance and paddle.
The sessions will enable Adults, Teens and Kids to become familiar with the basic skills necessary.
Parents/guardians of children can also book into the sessions for Teens and Kids.
Dubai SUP Challenge event
This event is a task led challenge where adults are invited to move around a course of buoys within the 30 minute period. The course is approximately 500m in length.
Sunset Yoga Class (Adults)
This class is available for those adults proficient in SUP and able to undertake a range of movements whilst standing on their board. An expert Yoga instructor will lead the sessions.

Are there any costs associated with the event?
All sessions, including stand-up paddleboarding, sunset yoga, and kayaking, are free of charge.

Who can participate in the event?
The event is open to everyone, from complete beginners to experienced paddlers. There are sessions for adults, and dedicated training sessions for kids and teens.

Do I need prior experience to join?
No prior experience is required. The stand-up paddleboarding sessions are designed for all skill levels, and our team will guide you based on your abilities.

What are the start time(s) of the event
The event starts at 10:00am and finishes at 5:30pm. Kindly refer to your booked session timings.

The event will take place at Hatta Dam.

What are my options for parking
Registered participants will be given information in due course on the event car parking facilities and the Dubai to Hatta free shuttle bus service that will operate on the day.

Is transportation available to the event?
Yes, shuttle buses will be available (subject to availability) from Dubai World Trade Centre to Hatta and back, providing a convenient way to attend. Participant will receive more details on your email post registration.

Race Pack/Number collection details?
Registered Participants will receive confirmation of entry by email.
On arrival at the venue participants should proceed to the check in desk where they will be allocated coloured wristbands commensurate with the session(s) they have booked.
These wristbands will then allow access on to the embarkation jetties prior to the relevant session starting.

What should I bring with me?
Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, and water. Life jackets and paddleboards will be provided. You may also want to bring a change of clothes for after the session.

Are there bag drop facilities?
A bag drop will be operational at the venue between 8:00 – 18:00hrs

Will there be changing facilities?
Yes, changing facilities will be available at the venue for your convenience.

Will food and beverages be available at Hatta Dam?
Yes, there will be food and beverage options available at the venue, offering a variety of snacks and drinks.

Water will be provided in and around the embarkation points to participants.

What time are the sunset yoga sessions?
The Sunset Yoga session will take place on the water at 4:15pm and 5:00pm. It is ideal for those who are already proficient in stand-up paddleboarding.

Can I participate in the kayaking sessions?
Yes, new for 2024, participants can enjoy free Hatta Kayak sessions throughout the day. Bookings for kayaking are available on-site and are subject to availability.

What safety measures are in place?
All necessary safety equipment, including life jackets, will be provided. Qualified instructors will be present to ensure all participants enjoy a safe and fun experience.

What is the best time to arrive?
It’s recommended to arrive at least 1 hour early to ensure you are ready for your session. Shuttle buses also run on a schedule from Wadi Hub and event parking areas.

Can I bring my own paddleboard or kayak?
Participants are welcome to bring their own equipment, but all required gear will be available at the event for free use.
