Join us at The Els Club for some social yet competitive Padel tournaments. Open to all community players of intermediate or better levels. 8 teams will be drawn in to 2 pools of 4 players. Round robin format followed by knock out to determine the overall winners on the night.

• Where is the tournament venue?

• Is there any parking available near the courts?

  Yes, in and around the club itself and within walking distance from the courts.

• Are there change rooms / showers?

  Yes, the golf locker rooms will be available for your usage before, during and after the tournament and include shower facilities

• What is the schedule?

  19h45 - Arrival and tournament format briefing
  20h00 - Round robin matches start
  22h30 - Knock-out matches start
  23h00 - Prize giving

• What level of players can enter this tournament?

  Intermediate and better

• Format of tournament

  • Players will enter as teams of 2 players and play all matches together as a team.
  • 8 teams per tournament
  • Teams will be drawn randomly in to 2 pools of 4 teams
  • Each match will be 8 games long with sudden death deuce (whoever wins the point when it is deuce, wins the game)
  • Change sides every 4 games
  • Round robin stage followed by Knockout stage

• Round Robin stage

  ROUND ROBIN STAGE
  o All teams in each pool will play each other at least once and depending on time restrictions possibly a second round of matches is possible.
  o The team winning the most games per match wins the match
  o Points will be awarded as follows per match
   Win = 3 points
   Loss = 0 points
   Draw = 1 point
  o Once all matches are completed in the pool, the top 2 teams with the most points advance to the Knockout stage.
  o In the event of teams ending with the same number of points, the head-to-head result will determine the winner and if that too was a draw then a 1 point sudden death match will be played to determine the winner.

• Knockout stage

  KNOCK OUT STAGE
  o Each match will be the first team to reach 4 games with sudden death deuce (whoever wins the point when it is deuce, wins the game)
  o Change sides every 4 games
  o Pool A winner plays Pool B runner up and Pool B winner plays Pool A runner up
  o The winners of these 2 matches play each other in the finals
  o The winner of this match wins the tournament

• What are the prizes / giveaways?

  All players on the night will receive the following:
  • 50% discount voucher valid for 1 month for court booking at the Els Club Padel Courts

• Why have I not received any event emails from the event organizer?

  Emails are sent 3 days before the event day confirming your participation. • Refunds/Cancellations

  Once entries close or the event is sold out, no refunds are possible for whatever reason which includes and is not limited to: change in personal circumstances, sickness, travel restrictions, or any circumstances related to Covid 19 which may prevent you from participating in the event.
