Join the Expo 2020 Ride the World - a community cycling experience!
A fun ride and one of a kind 3.5km loop of Expo 2020 taking riders through the heart of the thematic districts with a start and finish from the Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub.
FREE entry to all registered participants and no need to purchase an Expo entry ticket.
Riders can start at 07:00 and go for as many laps as they choose through to 08:45hrs.
Participants should access via the Mobility Entrance. A reminder to bring your own bike. Watch out for Ride the World (club and seasoned riders edition) coming soon too!
• Riders must have a valid Expo 2020 ticket purchased in advanced to again entry to the Expo 2020 site. There will be no provision for paying on the gate up to 09:00hrs.
• Entrance will be via the Mobility Gate entrance with a special entry open for riders to enter from 06:30hrs onwards. Normal scanning and security procedures will apply.
• Riders should proceed to come to the Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub where a pre-event briefing will occur at 06:50hrs from the Aussie Park stage.
• Riders can start the route at 07:00hrs and proceed to 08:45hrs by which time they should return to the Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub where bike racks will be provided with relevant security in proximity.
• Riders must only take the designated route and direction of travel along this route. It is prohibited to de-tour from the designated route that is downloadable (See the DOWNLOADS section of this event) and also will be clearly sign posted.
• Riders are reminded that their safety and that of other participants and people within Expo 2020 is of the highest importance. As such please ride at a speed, distance and awareness that is commensurate with the surroundings. The event is not a race or competitive and is intended for the social enjoyment of cycling within the spectacular setting of Expo 2020.
• Riders must wear masks at all times when not cycling and follow all Expo 2020 Covid guidelines as can be viewed here.
• Riders must wear appropriate helmets at all times when cycling within Expo 2020.
• Riders should take notice of and obey all instructions from Expo 2020 staff and on course security/stewards.

• If you want to photograph the scenic route through the heart of Expo 2020 please dismount and take your photos and videos from a standing position and not whilst cycling.
• After 08:45hrs cycling within Expo 2020 will not be permitted other than the Careem bikes and the special guided tours available from the Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub.
• The cycling racks will be available until 10:00am after which any bikes will be able to be stored inside the Sports, Fitness and Cycling Hub for up to 8 hours if participants want to enjoy the sites of Expo 2020.
Participants must bring their own bicycle.
Participants must wear a helmet at all times when riding.
Bring your own water container and hydration.
Participants must comply with Expo 2020 Covid measures and rules. (See details in other FAQ relative to this.)
Participants to this event must pre-register.
Entry for this event is FREE to all registered participants and no need to purchase an Expo entry ticket. Your entry ticket will be given to you at the entrance of the Mobility Gate upon arrival.
Visitors aged 18 years and above will be required to present proof of any vaccine recognized by their national government or a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours.
Park in the MOBILITY (Blue) Parking and then cycle to the Mobility Entrance.
The Sports & Fitness Hub will be on your left hand side as you pass through the entry gates.
Yes we will have bike racks for 150 bikes so you can go and enjoy your breakfast and not have to worry about your bike. Security will be on hand to keep an eye over all bikes on the racks

Cycle as many laps as you would like to during this period.
• Participants to wear a mask before the start and once you finish the event (no need to wear a mask while participating).
• Self-social distancing at all times except when participating.
• Several sanitize stations in the race village and surrounding areas.
• If you feel unwell on the morning of the event with flu-like symptoms, please stay at home!
