Join the Expo 2020 Ride the World - a community cycling experience and choose between an External or Internal route!
The EXTERNAL route takes in the magnificent scenery of Expo 2020 before proceeding onto the flat, open roads surrounding the Expo 2020 site! Peloton speeds of between 25 to 40km/h so be prepared to pedal fast!
The INTERNAL fun ride allows you to experience Expo at your own pace , stopping to take as many photos and selfies as you want and completing as many of the 3.5km laps as you can in 105 minutes - no race just a relaxing fun ride around Expo.
Both routes start and finish at the Expo 2020 Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub.
Participants should access via the Mobility Entrance.

• Additional Information

  Participants must bring their own bicycle.
  Participants must wear a helmet at all times when riding.
  Bring your own water container and hydration.
  Participants will be escorted in two pelotons by Dubai Police along the route.
  Participants must comply with Expo 2020 Covid measures and rules. (See details in other FAQ relative to this.)
  Participants to this event must pre-register and use the invitational code supplied.

• Do I need to purchase a Dubai Expo entry ticket for this event?

  • To enter this event there is no charge.
  • However, Adults aged 18-59 years will need to purchase an Expo 2020 Dubai entry ticket to be paid before entering the venue but if you have an Expo 2020 season pass / accreditation then you should utilize this.
  • Children under 18 years and senior citizens over 60 do not need to purchase an entry ticket.

• Do I need to be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 Vaccine to participate?

  Visitors aged 18 years and above will be required to present proof of any vaccine recognized by their national government or a negative PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours.

• How do I get to the venue?

  Multiple options are available and include Metro, Taxi or Drive.

• Where should I park at Expo?

  Park in the MOBILITY (Blue) Parking and then cycle to the Mobility Entrance.
  The Sports & Fitness Hub will be on your left hand side as you pass through the entry gates.

• Will there be bike racks for me to leave my bike on while doing something else?

  Yes we will have bike racks for 150 bikes so you can go and enjoy your breakfast and not have to worry about your bike. Security will be on hand to keep an eye over all bikes on the racks

• What are the Course Highlights?

  The entire EXPO 2020 site and surrounding outer areas.

• What is the Program & Timings for the Ride?

  There is NO registration on the day.
  6:30 – 7:00 Arrival at Mobility Parking (Meet at Sports, Fitness and Wellness Hub)
  7:00 – 7:15 Stage 1: Ride through the site to Starting Point
  7:15 – 9:00 Stage 2: Expo Ride (39 km distance)
  8:30 – 9:00 Stage 3: Ride to the Sports, Fitness and Wellness Hub
  9:00 – 10:00 Social coffee/breakfast at Australian Pavilion - Discounts Available

• Will there be different groups / speeds?

  Two pelotons will be escorted around the course

• What is the distance?

  40km

• How easy/difficult is the course?

  Flat and easy, perfect for all levels of cyclists.

• What are the support stations and where are they placed?

  1 x water station at the finish line.

• How is this event handling Covid19 related concerns?

  • Participants to wear a mask before the start and once you finish the event (no need to wear a mask while participating).
  • Staff will wear masks for the entire duration of the event and sanitize regularly.
  • Self-social distancing of 2m at all times except when participating.
  • Self-service water stations out on course and at the finish line
  • Several sanitize stations in the race village and surrounding areas.
  • If you feel unwell on the morning of the event with flu-like symptoms, please stay at home!

• Do I need my own bike?

  Yes, you need your own bike as there is NO bike hire available.
