Get ahead of the pack and be the first to experience an organised cycling race in and around Expo City Dubai as part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge on Sunday, 13 November 2022.
The race starts with a 3km neutral parade lap around the iconic Expo City Dubai, taking in the magnificent sights, before exiting to the flat, open surrounding roads through Dubai South and along the perimeter of Al Maktoum International Airport. Catering to all fitness levels, four different distances are on offer: 70km, 40km, 18km and 12km.

• How do I find my race number?

  Race Numbers will be allocated once entries close and be available for download from midday on the Friday before the Race.

• When is Race Check In and race number and timing chip collection?

  Your race number and timing chip collection is on the morning of the race at Race Check In which opens at 6am.
  Race numbers will be emailed to all runners. Once you know your race number, proceed directly to your respective Bib collection desk and collect your Bib # and timing chip.
  
  Please check that all your data which is printed on the label of the race pack envelope is correct. This includes your name, age category, gender and distance and in the event of there being any errors, please let our Check In staff know so we can change it for you so you have the correct result when finishing the race. You must have checked in and received your timing chip 30 minutes before your race start.

• Can I collect a friends Race Pack on their behalf?

  Yes this is possible provided you show us a copy of their Emirates ID when collecting.

• When is the Shirt Collection?

  • To be collected at Check-In area after you finish the race.
  • Hand in your timing chip in return for your official medal and t-shirt.

• Data check - Did I register with the correct date of birth and gender?

  When collecting your race pack, you will be asked your full name, gender and age. This is to check that you are collecting the correct race pack and that you are not entered into the wrong age category or gender. Please assist our staff with this data check to ensure the correct race results are recorded for all participants.

• What does the race pack include?

  1 x labelled envelope
  2 x race bib/number with safety pins
  1 x ankle strap timing chip
  1 x seat post number
  1 x helmet stickers
  1 x official Race T-Shirt

• How do I get to the race venue?

  • Drive or by Taxi as you have to bring your bike.
  • For those driving please follow signage to Expo 2020 and thereafter specifically to MOBILITY (Blue) Parking and then cycle to the Mobility Entrance.

• Where is the car parking?

  For those driving please follow signage to Expo 2020 and thereafter specifically to MOBILITY (Blue) Parking and then cycle to the Mobility Entrance.
  If you are coming by taxi, ask to be dropped as close to the MOBILITY (Blue) Parking and then cycle to the Mobility Entrance.

• What are the Course Highlights?

• What is the Program & Timings for the Ride?

  Be at the race venue at least 30 minutes prior to the start of your race.

• What are the Distances & Age groups?

  Age Groups are calculated as per your age on race day.
  Male and Female categories for all age groups:
  74km: Under 19 years, 19 – 29 years, 30 – 39 years, 40 – 49 years, 50 - 59 years, 60+ years
  40km: Under 19 years, 19 – 29 years, 30 – 39 years, 40 – 49 years, 50 - 59 years, 60+ years
  18km: 12 – 15 years, 16 – 18 years, 19 – 29 years, 30 – 39 years, 40 – 49 years, 50 - 59 years, 60+ years
  12km: 12 – 18 years, 19 years+

• What should I do with my Race Bib / Number?

  Race numbers must be worn on your lower back and toward the sides of your body with the number facing outward.
  Use the safety pins provided to attach the bib to your shirt use a race belt to attach the bib to the belt and wear it around your waist. *Race belts will need to be purchased separately.
  Bibs have to be worn before you start the race and only be removed once you finish the race.

• What should I do with my Timing Chip?

  Timing chips are attached to a Velcro strap which is to be fastened around your left ankle before and during the ride.
  Once finished racing, proceed back to the Check-In area and hand in your timing chip in return for your official medal and t-shirt.
  DO NOT REMOVE THE CHIP FROM THE STRAP. IF YOU COMPETE WITH NO CHIP – YOU WILL RECEIVE NO TIME AND NO RESULT!

• How easy/difficult is the course?

  Flat and easy, perfect for all levels of cyclists.

• What are the support stations and where are they placed?

  1 x Self-service water Stations on the course (will need to dismount to get water) as well as 1 x at the finish line.

• Do I need my own bike and helmet?

  Yes, you need your own bike and helmet or hire one beforehand.

• Will there be bike racks for me to leave my bike on while doing something else?

  Limited bike racks will be available near the start / finish line.

• Finishers Medal

  Finisher medals are only available to cyclists who take part and complete the full distance.

• What happens if I arrive late for race start?

  Participants who are more than 15 minutes late for the start of their respective distance will not be allowed to participate.

• Are there any discounts available?

  No discounts are available for this race as it is already a very discounted entry fee.

• How do I enter a corporate team?

  Invite your work colleagues to enter a company team (minimum 20 runners). No discounts available, contact [email protected] for more information.

• Where can I find the Race Results?

  Please scan the QR codes in the Race Village to view your result once you have finished racing. Full results will be on the Super Sports website as soon as possible at SuperSportsUAE.com – search for: Race Results

• Where can I find the Race Photos?

  Photos can be found on your results page by clicking on the CAMERA icon and then doing a bib or selfie search. Photos will be available 24 hours after the race has finished. Individual photos are not included in the race fee nor guaranteed.

• Any additional information participants should know about?

  All information regarding the Race, Race Course, etc can be found in the Event Downloads section of this Race on Premier Online, so ensure you have a clear understanding of the rules and regulations as well as what the course will look like / entail.
  Participants must bring their own bicycle.
  Participants must wear a helmet at all times when riding.
  Bring your own water container and hydration.

• Why have I not received any race emails from the event organizer?

  Race emails are sent during the week of the event. Make sure to register with the correct email ID so that you receive these emails. Please note company email ID’s are often blocked by the company service provider. If you do not receive these emails, please check your spam, junk or promotions folder and mark us as ‘not spam’ to ensure that you receive future race information emails from us. • Refunds/Cancellations

  Once entries close or the event is sold out, no refunds are possible for whatever reason which includes and not limited to: change in personal circumstances, sickness, travel restrictions, or any circumstances related to Covid 19 which may prevent you from participating in the event.
  Unclaimed race packs after the start of a respective distance will be forfeited in full.
