Join Super Sports for an action-packed morning of triathlon with open water swimming, biking and running. Perfect for first timers, offering fast times for the advanced, and are therefore ideal for all ages and abilities. Enter a relay team of 2 or 3 athletes. This unique beachfront course and spectator friendly route has plenty of sea views and palm tree lined roads.

The swim course offers calm waters in the lagoon with plenty of lifeguards. For the bike, there are double lane roads closed in both directions to traffic and a designated running track that follows the beach ensuring a safe and fun race for all. Music, lots of aid stations, supporters and a real community feel makes these triathlons special.

• How do I find my race number?

  Race Numbers will be allocated once entries close and be available for download as from midday on the Friday before the Race.

• When is race check in and race pack (number/timing chip) collection?

  On the day Race Pack collection
  • Race Packs can be collected from Race Check In on the morning of the race from 5.30am – 6.45am. Race Check in is next to Transition.
  • You must have checked in and received your timing chip 30 minutes before your race start.
  • Once you know your race number, proceed directly to the Race pack collection desk and collect your race pack. It is a very quick and easy process and will take you 2-3 minutes.
  
  Race numbers will be emailed to all runners and will also be on show at Race Check-In on the morning of the race. Once you know your race number, proceed directly to your respective collection desk.
  
  Please check that all your data which is printed on the label of the race pack envelope is correct. This includes
  your name, age category, gender, and distance, and in the event of there being any errors, please let our registration staff know so we can change it for you so you have the correct result when finishing the race.

• Data check - Did I register with the correct date of birth and gender?

  When collecting your race pack, you will be asked your full name, gender and age. This is to check that you are collecting the correct race pack and that you are not entered into the wrong age category or gender. Please assist our staff with this data check to ensure the correct race results are recorded for all participants.

• What are the course highlights?

  Plenty of lifeguards in the calm water of the lagoon, roads closed to traffic for the bike, lots of marshals ensuring a safe and fun race, finishing on a run track with views of the beach and sea making it a scenic course.

• Where is the race taking place / where do we park?

  Start & Finish Location: Mamzar
  In parking bays before or after Transition Area. Do not park on the pavement as you will be fined by the traffic police.

• What is the race day program & timings?

  Be checked in at least 40 minutes before the start of the race. There is NO on-the-day registration.
  
  05h30 – 06h45 Race check In Opens, Transition Set Up, and Warm-Up. All competitors need to be checked in before 06h00 as roads leading to the start/finish area will be closed to ALL traffic as from this time.

• What are the race distances & age groups?

  Distances:
  JUNIOR SUPER SPRINT – 180m swim, 8km cycle, 1.25km run
  SUPER SPRINT- 375m swim, 8km cycle, 2.5km run
  SPRINT – 750m swim, 24km cycle, 5km run
  OLYMPIC – 1.5km swim, 40km cycle, 10km run

• What about race numbers and timing chips?

  Timing chip must be worn on left leg for the swim, cycle and run.
  Bring your own race belt to attach the race number to, or they can be bought in the race village on race day.
  Race number must be worn on back side for cycle and on the front side for run.
  Race numbers are different colors to indicate to marshal which distance you are doing.
  Race numbers and timing chips to be returned after finishing the race.

• How easy/difficult is the course?

  Fast and flat, perfect for first timers to elite triathletes

• Will there be bike mechanics?

  Pre-Race: Velo Presto mechanics will be available from the beginning of registration on race day to assist with any basic repairs and maintenance on a first-come first-served basis. They will not be able to assemble bicycles or carry out any complex or time-consuming repairs e.g. hydraulic systems etc.

• What are the support stations and where are they placed?

  2 x water stations on the run course as well as other refreshments at the finish line.

• Are there any Family Discounts available?

  Family discounts are available for families of 3 or more wanting to enter this event, and are ONLY for parents and THEIR children and is offered by Super Sports to make it more economically viable for the whole family to participate. To avail of the family discount, please email [email protected], so that the family discount code can be given to you.

• Where can I find the results?

  Please scan the QR codes in the Race Village to view your result once you have finished running. Full results will be on the Super Sports website as soon as possible at http://www.supersportsuae.com.

• Where can I find the race photos?

  Photos can be found on your results page by clicking on the CAMERA icon and then doing a bib or selfie search. Photos will be available 24 hours after the race has finished. Individual photos are not included in the race fee nor guaranteed.

• Do I need to be fully vaccinated with COVID-19 Vaccine to participate?

  No longer required, to be able to attend this event.

• How is this event handling Covid19 related concerns?

  • Self-social distancing of 1m at all times.
  • Masks are optional.
  • Stay in the Race Village Area till your distance is called to the Start Area.
  • No gatherings / hugging / touching / group photos etc.
  • Self-service water stations out on course and at the finish line.
  • Sanitize your hands regularly at designated stations.
  • If you feel unwell on the morning of the event with flu-like symptoms, please stay at home!

  All information regarding the Race (Race Briefing, Race Course etc.) can be found in the Event Downloads section of this Race (on the right side of this page), so ensure you have a clear understanding of the rules and regulations as well as what the course will look like / entail.

• Why have I not received any race emails from the event organizer?

  Race emails are sent 7 days before race day, and on the Friday before the race at midday. If you do not receive these emails, please check your spam / junk / promotions or other folders and un-spam us so you can receive future emails from us, Super Sports UAE.
