Crossing Portugal in 15 days is not just a race, from north to south, from Chaves to Sagres through rural roads, asphalt roads, trails, bridges, and Roman sidewalks that take you to Castles, convents, shrines, or to very genuine small towns with very genuine people. It is a journey of 1001 km, 15 stages and through a country with almost 1000 years of history and with the oldest border in Europe and one of the most stable in the world. It’s 725 years old!
To cross this country is also to cross the history and culture of a nation, which despite being very small, has contributed in a very significant way to the world as we know it today. For this we proposed two challenges. The first one, with 1001km in 15 days, PT1001. The second, with 500km, HALF PT1001, from north to center, or from center to end.
All this on a self-sufficient basis self-sufficient.
