Pure Play - Dubai's leading indoor tennis and padel venue - invites all community padel players of intermediate or better levels to join us for our social yet competitive indoor summer padel tournament. Singles and Doubles formats avaiable. Round Robin pool stages followed by Knock-Out to determine the overall winner/s on the night.
Doubles only 8 teams and singles only 4 players so enter early!

• Where is the tournament venue?

  LOCATION - google PURE PLAY which is in the Jebel Ali area close to EXPO site

• Is there any parking available near the courts?

  Yes, in and around the club itself and within walking distance from the courts.

• Are there change rooms / showers?

  Yes, the locker rooms will be available for your usage before, during and after the tournament.

• What level of players can enter this tournament?

  Intermediate and better

• Format of tournament

  DOUBLES TOURNAMENT
  • Players will enter as teams of 2 players and play all matches together as a team.
  • 8 teams per tournament
  • Teams will be drawn randomly in to 2 pools of 4 teams
  • Each match will be 8 games long with sudden death deuce (whoever wins the point when it is deuce, wins the game)
  • Change sides every 4 games
  • Round robin stage followed by Knockout stage
  
  SINGLES TOURNAMENT
  • 4 players per tournament
  • Each match will be 4 games long with sudden death deuce (whoever wins the point when it is deuce, wins the game)
  • Each player will play minimum of 3 matches
  • No changing of sides
  • Round robin stage followed by Knockout stage

• Round Robin stage

  DOUBLES ROUND ROBIN STAGE
  o All teams in each pool will play each other at least once and depending on time restrictions possibly a second round of matches is possible.
  o The team winning the most games per match wins the match
  o Points will be awarded as follows per match
   Win = 3 points
   Loss = 0 points
   Draw = 1 point
  o Once all matches are completed in the pool, the top 2 teams with the most points advance to the Knockout stage.
  o In the event of teams ending with the same number of points, the head-to-head result will determine the winner and if that too was a draw then a 1 point sudden death match will be played to determine the winner.
  
  SINGLES ROUND ROBIN STAGE
  o All players will play each other at least once and depending on time restrictions possibly a second round of matches is possible.
  o The player winning the most games per match wins the match
  o Points will be awarded as follows per match
   Win = 3 points
   Loss = 0 points
   Draw = 1 point
  o Once all matches are compl

• Knockout stage

  DOUBLES KNOCK OUT STAGE
  o Each match will be the first team to reach 4 games with sudden death deuce (whoever wins the point when it is deuce, wins the game)
  o Change sides every 4 games
  o Pool A winner plays Pool B runner up and Pool B winner plays Pool A runner up
  o The winners of these 2 matches play each other in the finals
  o The winner of this match wins the tournament
  
  SINGLES KNOCK OUT STAGE
  o Each match will be the first player reach 4 games with sudden death deuce (whoever wins the point when it is deuce, wins the game)
  o No changing of sides
  o Players seeded as per round robin results

• What are the prizes / giveaways?

  All players on the night will receive the following:

• Why have I not received any event emails / messages from the event organizer?

  Emails / Messages are sent 3 days before the event day confirming your participation. If you do not receive these emails / messages, please use the Contact Organizer button on this page.

• Refunds/Cancellations

  Once entries close or the event is sold out, no refunds are possible for whatever reason which includes and is not limited to: change in personal circumstances, sickness, travel restrictions, or any circumstances related to Covid 19 which may prevent you from participating in the event.
