As we are encouraged to practice social distancing, ​Z Adventures is pleased to introduce a new virtual steps fitness challenge.
QRS Ramadan Challenge is created to motivate and reward first time runners / walkers as well as seasoned athletes to continue training during the month of Ramadan while maintaining self isolation. Being part of the challenge will ensure that your every run or walk count towards a target that is set by yourselves.
Athletes would be able to monitor their progress and that of their peers through our online leader board. So if you’re happy with a few K's a day, or training for a Half or Full Marathon, this challenge will provide a great incentive to achieve your goal.

• Monthly Step Challenge:

  100,000 steps during Ramadan (76.2 km)
  200,000 steps during Ramadan (152.4 km)
  300,000 steps during Ramadan (228.6 km)
  400,000 steps during Ramadan (304.8 km)
  500,000 steps during Ramadan (381.0 km)

• Distances:

  21.1K or 21,690 steps
  10K or 13,123 steps
  5K or 6,562 steps
  3K or 3,937 steps
  1K or 1,312 steps

• Race dates:

  Race 1: Fri 24 - Sat 25 April 2020
  Race 2: Fri 01 - Sat 02 May 2020
  Race 3: Fri 08 - Sat 09 May 2020
  Race 4: Fri 15 - Sat 16 May 2020

• Rewards:

  Runners / Walkers who complete the desired distance will receive medals and / or a customised T-shirt with the runner's name and challenge achieved

• Results:

  Challenge results will be uploaded on z-adventures.org on Monday following each race. Bespoke medals will be presented to athletes 1 week after the completion of the 4 race series. Please note that shipping cost is not included, so if you do not reside in Qatar, kindly do not sign up for the challenge unless you wish to pay for shipping.

• Common Concern - "Cheating":

  There are quite a few ways we can detect cheaters. However, we do realize that no matter what we do or how foolproof the structure is, participants are always going to be able to cheat if that’s what they want to do. For example, put their smartwatch on their dog or drive around at low speed inside their compound!
  There are no prizes or podium winners. Hence, If someone wants to cheat then they are only really cheating themselves and wasting their time and money.
