The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club is organizing the Sharjah Open Water Swimming Tournament Series. Take the opportunity to participate in this unique series and beat the summer heat with a swim in the wonderful collection of beaches in the Emirate of Sharjah.

• What is the Event Day Schedule?

• Are there any Support Stations?

  For your safety, medical services will be available on site.
  Only official lifeguards on kayaks and rescue jet skis are allowed on the swim course.
  Dedicated hydration station near the start / finish .

• What are the Prizes & Awards?

  Cash prizes for top 3 winners in each category (Overall of 5 races)
  Finisher medal for every one

• What are the permitted swim wear?

  The swim will be a non-wetsuit swim. Only race legal speed-suits (no rubber or neoprene) will be permitted. All athletes must wear the swim cap provided and start in their allocated wave. Only swim goggles or masks are permitted. No other swim aids of any kind are permitted.

• What are the Age Categories?

  1500 m SWIM : 19 / 99 MALE / FEMALE
  
  800 m SWIM : 16 / 19 MALE / FEMALE
  
  500 m SWIM : 13 / 15 MALE / FEMALE

• How should I wear my timing chip?

  Chips to be worn on your LEFT ankle with the chip number facing outward

• When is Race Check In and timing chip collection?

  Your timing chip collection is on the morning of the race at Race Check-In which opens at 6.30am. No need to be there from the beginning when Race Check-In opens.
  Race numbers will be emailed to all swimmers and will also be on show at Race Check-In on the morning of the race. Once you know your race number, proceed directly to your respective Timing chip collection desk.
  Please check that all your data is correct. This includes your name, age category, gender and in the event of there being any errors, please let our registration staff know so we can change it for you so you have the correct result when finishing the race.
  You must have checked in and received your timing chip 20 minutes before your race start.

• What happened if forget to return the ankle strap?

  RETURN YOUR ANKLE STRAP
  
  Congratulations on finishing the race! Make sure you return your chip to one of the race volunteers – if you don’t return your chip at this point you will be liable for a fee of AED 200 – so please remember to return it!
