'Welcome Back" to the UAE Lifeguard Championships 2024. We invite lifeguards from across the region to enter and compete in various challenges that test their physical fitness, rescue skills, and ability to work as a team - or enter the event as an individual.
Lifeguards are the unsung heroes of our beaches and pools, working tirelessly to keep swimmers safe and secure. They undergo rigorous training and possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform life-saving acts at a moment's notice. The UAE Lifeguard Championships is not only a display of their abilities but also an opportunity for them to learn from one another and improve their skills. Each challenge has been designed to simulate real-life scenarios and push the lifeguards to their limits.
We look forward to watching these brave and skilled lifeguards compete for the ultimate prize and, most importantly, showcase their commitment to safety and their community. Let the competition begin!

• Do I need to have an internationally recognised Lifeguard qualification?

  Yes, all competitors need to have a current internationally recognised qualification.

• Are spectators allowed?

  Yes spectators are welcome. However, we request that all are respectful of the fact that the hotel is in full operation with paying guests. All spectators should remain in the event area and are not permitted to use any of the hotel facilities. F & B will be available for purchase.

• Events will include:

  • Surf Race Team of 4
  • Rescue Tube Rescue Team of 4
  • Run-Swim-Run all compete Team of 4
  • Beach Flags 2 per team
  • Beach Run – 1km Team of 4
  • Ocean Lifesaver Relay Mixed (Oceanman/Oceanwoman Relay variation) 2 x swimmers/ 2 runners
