The 2024 Volcano Marathon on Easter Island provides a captivating 42.195km journey through the island's stunning landscapes. Over 4 nights and 5 days, participants immerse themselves in Easter Island's allure, exploring its iconic Moai statues and rich Rapa Nui culture. Starting at Anakena Beach, runners traverse natural, unpaved terrain, encountering diverse landscapes including grassy patches and volcanic rock near the Rano Kau crater. The marathon offers a challenging yet enriching experience, showcasing the island's archaeological sites and captivating scenery.

How easy/ difficult is the course?

For competitors of all levels, challenging course with up-hills and down-hills.
All ages and abilities are invited and a mix of on and off-road running will be experienced by all runners.

Once entries close or the event is sold out, no refunds are possible for whatever reason which includes and is not limited to: change in personal circumstances, sickness, travel restrictions, or any circumstances which may prevent you from participating in the event.
Unclaimed run packs including shirt, medal, snack, and the voucher will be forfeited in full after the start of a respective distance.
