The marathon begins and ends at our main hotel, the Pucon Green Park Hotel, which is located at an elevation of 1,000 feet (300 meters). We start by running through the charming town of Pucon, mostly on smooth asphalt roads. As we continue, we move towards the magnificent Villarrica Volcano, following a country road that includes a mixture of dirt, volcanic ash, lava rocks, and small pebbles. When we reach the halfway point, we reach the highest elevation of the race, which is 5,300 feet (1,600 meters). From there, we start descending and make our way back to the Green Park Hotel. Throughout the marathon, we ascend a total of 4,300 feet (1,300 meters) and descend the same amount.

• How will I get to the Volcano Marathon Pucon Edition?

  You will arrange round trip flights from your homeland to Santiago (Chile) and then onward to a town called Temuco (airport code ZCO). There are numerous daily flights from Santiago to Temuco. From there, you travel by shuttle bus to the race hotel at Pucon.

• I have no prior altitude experience. Is it ok for me to run the marathon?

  Yes. The highest elevation of the Volcano Marathon Pucon Edition is about 5,300 ft (1,600 meters), so there should be no altitude-related issues.

• Do I need a Visa for Chile.

  Visitors from about 100 countries can visit Chile without a visa for up to 90 days; passport holders from other countries must obtain a visa. Please verify the visa requirement for entering Chile with the Department of Foreign Affaires of your own country.

• What is the pricing for the categories?

  One single runner: $2,600USD/person‍
  Two runners sharing room basis: $2,300 USD/person‍
  One runner+one companion: $2,300 USD for runner, $1,300USD for non-runner.
