Join us at the Yousif Al Mulla Triathlon, celebrating the life and accomplishments of local triathlete Yousif Al Mulla who sadly passed away after a training accident earlier this year.
We return to Ghantoot - the birthplace of triathlons in the UAE - for an action-packed morning of triathlon with open water swimming, biking and running. Perfect for first timers, offering fast times for the advanced and ideal for all ages and abilities. Enter a relay team of 2 or 3 athletes. The swim course offers calm waters in the lagoon in front of the Bungalows with plenty of lifeguards. For the bike, the 13km clockwise loop on closed double lane roads overs traffic free cycling while the wide sidewalks will see the run part take place on them adjacent to the bike course. Music, lots of aid stations, supporters and a real community feel makes these triathlons special.

• How do I find my race number?

  Race Numbers will be allocated once entries close and be available for download as from midday on the Friday before the Race.

• When is race check in and race pack (number/timing chip) collection?

  On the day Race Pack collection
  • Race Packs can be collected from Race Check In on the morning of the race from 5.30am – 6.45am. Race Check in is next to Transition.
  • You must have checked in and received your timing chip 30 minutes before your race start.
  • Once you know your race number, proceed directly to the Race pack collection desk and collect your race pack. It is a very quick and easy process and will take you 2-3 minutes.
  Race numbers will be emailed to all runners and will also be on show at Race Check-In on the morning of the race. Once you know your race number, proceed directly to your respective collection desk.
  Please check that all your data which is printed on the label of the race pack envelope is correct. This includes
  your name, age category, gender, and distance, and in the event of there being any errors, please let our Check In staff know so we can change it for you so you have the correct result when finishing the race.

• Data check - Did I register with the correct date of birth and gender?

  When collecting your race pack, you will be asked your full name, gender, and age. This is to check that you are collecting the correct race pack and that you are not entered into the wrong age category or gender. Please assist our staff with this data check to ensure the correct race results are recorded for all participants.

• Where is the Venue & is Parking available?

  Parking is available on the shoulders of the road, outside the resort.

• What are the course highlights?

  Plenty of lifeguards in the calm water of the lagoon, roads closed to traffic for the bike, lots of marshals ensuring a safe and fun race.

• Where is the race taking place / where do we park?

  Start & Finish Location: Golden Tulip Bungalows
  Park in parking bays in and around the Bungalows or outside on the main road.

• What is the race day program & timings?

  Be checked in at least 30 minutes before the start of the race. There is NO on-the-day registration.
  
  05h30 – 06h45 Race check In Opens, Transition Set Up, and Warm-Up. All competitors need to be checked in before 06h30 as roads leading to the start/finish area will be closed to ALL traffic as from this time.

• What about race numbers and timing chips?

  Timing chip must be worn on left leg for the swim, cycle and run.
  Bring your own race belt to attach the race number to, or they can be bought in the race village on race day.
  Race number must be worn on back side for cycle and on the front side for run.
  Race numbers are different colors to indicate to marshal which distance you are doing.
  Race numbers and timing chips to be returned after finishing the race.

• How easy / difficult is the course?

  Flat and Fast, perfect for first timers to elite triathletes

• Will there be bike mechanics?

  Pre-Race: Velo Presto mechanics will be available from the beginning of check in on race day to assist with any basic repairs and maintenance on a first-come first-served basis. They will not be able to assemble bicycles or carry out any complex or time-consuming repairs e.g. hydraulic systems etc.

• What are the support stations and where are they placed?

  2 x water stations on the run course as well as other refreshments at the finish line.

• Are there any Family Discounts available?

  Family discounts are available for families of 3 or more wanting to enter this event, and are ONLY for parents and THEIR children and is offered by Super Sports to make it more economically viable for the whole family to participate. To avail of the family discount, please email [email protected], so that the family discount code can be given to you.

• Where can I find the results?

  Please scan the QR codes in the Race Village to view your result once you have finished running. Full results will be on the Super Sports website as soon as possible at http://www.supersportsuae.com.

• Where can I find the race photos?

  Photos can be found on your results page by clicking on the CAMERA icon and then doing a bib or selfie search. Photos will be available 24 hours after the race has finished. Individual photos are not included in the race fee nor guaranteed.

• Any additional information participants should know about?

  All information regarding the Race (Race Briefing, Race Course etc.) can be found in the Event Downloads section of this Race (on the right side of this page), so ensure you have a clear understanding of the rules and regulations as well as what the course will look like / entail.

• Why have I not received any race emails from the event organizer?

  Race emails are sent during the week of the event. Make sure to register with the correct email ID so that you receive these emails. Please note company email ID’s are often blocked by the company service provider. If you do not receive these emails, please check your spam, junk or promotions folder and mark us as ‘not spam’ to ensure that you receive future race information emails from us. If you still have any trouble with this, please contact us on [email protected].

• Refunds/Cancellations

  Once entries close or the event is sold out, no refunds are possible for whatever reason which includes and is not limited to: change in personal circumstances, sickness, travel restrictions, or any circumstances which may prevent you from participating in the event.
  Unclaimed run packs including shirt, medal, snack, and the voucher will be forfeited in full after the start of a respective distance.
