The Annual Zayed Charity Run this year will be held under the generous patronage of H.H Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dafra region on November 25th, 2023. The annual event first launched in 2001 in Abu Dhabi. It is a tribute to the founding father of the nation, the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May god rest his soul)
The Charity Run has a few annual editions held around the world in iconic locations such as New York and Egypt. This run supports the vision of the UAE of Humanity and spread goodness centred in creating love and peace.

• Race Day Schedule

  Be checked in at least 30 minutes before the start of the race. There is NO Registration on the day.
  
  5:00am Race Pack Collection OPENS
  6:30am Race Pack Collection CLOSES
  6:45am Race Briefing
  7:00am First Race starts

• By what time should I arrive at the event venue?

  Please arrive at the venue no later that 30 minutes before your start time.

• Where do I go for the event?

  Please see the Event Location map on this page.

• Are there bag drop facilities?

  No there will be no bag drop at the event.

• Will there be support stations? If yes, how many, where, providing what support?

  There will be water stations in the race village and out on the course.
  Please note - water stations will be self service and teams will not be allowed to feed outside of the designated zones. Any participants found doing so will automatically be disqualified.

• What estimated time will the event finish?

  The cut off time for the event is 9.00 am
  Please keep this in mind when registering for your event.

• Where can I find the results to the event?

  You can find your results under : https://results.sporthive.com/for/adsc then look for your event and enter your bib number

• Finisher Medal:

  At the completion of the event participants can collect a finishers' medal from one of the volunteer Marshals

• Volunteers:

  Please thank the volunteers as they are volunteering their own time to help you enjoy your race and get you home safely to your families. Please also respect the host community as we are guests and please adhere to best practices to help protect others.

• Race Bibs and Timing Chip:

  Bibs must be worn on your upper body with the number facing outward.
  Safety pins are in the envelope.
  
  TIMING CHIP
  Timing chip is attached to the back of your race bib.
  Ensure your bib has 1 timing chip stuck to the back and if not, please see Super Sports staff on the day to issue you with a new bib.
  DO NOT REMOVE THE CHIP FROM THE BIB.
  IF YOU RUN WITH NO BIB – YOU WILL RECEIVE NO TIME AND NO RESULT!

• Race Rules:

  Faster runners should run on the inside of the track (the racing line) and slower runners on the outside.
  Follow the appropriate signage and course marshals.
  It is YOUR responsibility to know the course you should be running. Please familiarise yourself with the maps PRIOR to the start of the race.
  You must have your run number visible on the front of your upper body or race clothing and keep it visible at all times when on the run course.
  Shoes are compulsory.
  No form of locomotion other than running, walking or crawling is allowed. – this is excluded for the Wheelchair can Paracycling Categories.

• General Information

  FINISHERS MEDAL
  When crossing the finish line, please keep moving through the finish chute then you will receive your finishers medal.
  
  REFRESHMENTS / WATER STATIONS
  There will be several water stations on course and 1 at the finish line. There will be fruit at the finish line.
  
  TOILETS
  Please use toilets as directed.
  
  AMBULANCE
  Paramedic services will be on site and in the event of any athletes being in trouble, please inform the closest race marshal to call for assistance.

• Waht is the difference between the Premium and regular category?

  For the Premium category, you need to have the following average speeds:
  5km: 13-18 minutes
  10km: 27-33 minutes
  You will also benefit from the following:
  Preferred Start location (Front)
  Preferred Start time (no amateur/community athletes on the course)

• Race Pack Collection details:

  Race numbers will be sent via SMS to all runners and will also be on show at Race Check-In on the morning of the race.
  We STRONGLY advise you to try and collect your pack the day PRIOR to the race so you have a nice relaxed
  morning
  Please check that all your data which is printed on the label of the race pack envelope is correct. This includes your name, age
  category, gender, and distance
  Race packs can be collected on behalf of friends or relatives, but a copy of their ID MUST be shown.
