“Confusion with the initial route to go to parking and eventually we reached the venue but the walk from the parking was long because the doors connecting the two sections of the mall were locked so we had to take a longer walk through the mall. We only just made it in time, did not get enough time to change into t shirt. Also, the race start was rushed and one could not hear what was being said sure to lots of wind. Otherwise all good!”

I dont run for medals, but when a medal shows its been given no thought or effort, I speak for other runners as well, it feels disrespectful. and 2. The event information needed more details where exactly the race was starting because galleria mall main door is almost anonymous. ”

“No clear sign for cars, no signs to reach the village, ....lack of signs. Disorganised and difficult to find the stations for pip, t-shirt.... During race, cars were using roads next to runners (dangerous), water stations should be more. Fruits station was in village with no clear signs to let runners know about it. People were frustrated to fing GF in Galaria to reach village. 60+ should be a separate category. ”

Pls do not use the Zubail Island until the work is finished. its risky on the stones and one can twist their ankle in the sand. Timing of 8am too was too late for a run to start.”

Also, is the timing correct? it appears that my total run time is actually the time I started the race (crossed the start line) after the clock started running - not my actual running time.”

“When i signed up my start time on the website waa 8.05am. When i arrived all the running groups had already started. It seemed like i was not the only one who recieved the wrong time as i met other people the same. After initially being told i cant race as it was too late, a organiser let me take part which i was very thankful for. It was a great run, very well organised otherwise. “Of all the races I’ve attended for the past years, this is a little but un-organized. There is ni signage on when to queue for mubadala/cleveland employee. It took me 3x to be in different queue just to get the bib plus, the race distance is more than what is opt to. 5k or 10k—there is like 300-500m extra. Overall, thankful for the event and its volunteers. ”
