“great race in nice location - No split times and no 50+ category in Olympic as advertised, otherwise great race in beautiful location with good organisation. Value for money is good too ! Great to have not a rolling start !”

“Great value for money - Overall a very good low key triathlon. Small transition zone, easy access, small field, easy race course. The distances were a little all over the place: approx. 1800m swim, 43km bike, 9.8km run. It was very tight in the transition zone but everything worked well. Once the sprint and super sprint participants had gone through the finish line, there was no food or drinks left for the olympic distance. No S/M finisher t-shirts either. No food left, no finisher t-shirts”

“Was fun - It was overall good but wondering why wasn’t all age group categories awarded. Bit unfair they awarded Olympic age group but not Sprint age group and even relay team for females not awarded too. Timings are wrong and there are no time splits available, only the total time was available. ”

“Needs better organisation has potential - I travelled from Abu Dhabi on Friday booked a hotel in Fujairah. It is a 6-hour round trip so I obviously had to do that. Giving the fact the event is so cheap compared to other races is welcoming but this doesn't excuse the fact the timings provided are incorrect, the race did not start on scheduled time, there was only one water station on the run course which meant you had to run for 2.5 km without water between 9-11 am and the distances are not as described in the emails sent during the week”

“Longer than standard Olympic & time not recorded - I was disappointed to find that after driving from Dubai to Fujairah on the day of the race that all roads leading to the event were closed off. The course was longer than a standard olympic distance: 1.7km swim, 42.8 km bike and 9.80km run. I had the timing anklet on but looking at the results, my timing was not recorded. It's disappointing to know that the effort I had put on the day was not recorded.”

“There is room for improvement. - Finish line/ transition area overcrowded with non official people from the event. Final event result a different from watch time.(10 min different)”

“Could be better... - My biggest gripe is the timing and results: seems to be 10 minutes off - our Garmin watches indicate that we could have finished 10 minutes earlier. Despite the number of marshals patrolling the run route, the track out and in for the run was a bit confusing. The cycling track was great having really wide roads all for the event. The swim start was confusing as the instructions were not as clear due to some interference with the speaker's microphone. Overall it was a good experience.”

“Good triathlon, some improvement needed. - Best value for money. Pre race communications could be improved, as well as cycling track (dangerous U turns) and running (exit through the resort). Swim was very well managed and marked, goodie bag was really nice.”

“Triathlon with potential - Overall event was ok keeping in mind the low entry fees (which is appreciated), however there could be some improvements made regarding the smaller details. I agree with the comment above regarding the prize giving ceremony/recognition being disappointing. Age groups could also be smaller maybe 10 year intervals. The results were no where to be found after the event. The results found today on MyPace also does not show breakdown of each discipline. Run out was confusing to most participants ”

“enjoyable event - Pretty good event - a couple of gripes with the course - the tight turns on the bike course had a lot of gravel making for a precarious turn - and puncture danger. the start of the run course was a bit of a maze with a significant trip hazard exiting the hotel. the swim was well marshalled and perfect conditions. goody bag a nice touch. but t shirt and hat is a waste I don't know who will wear them again - bag, towel and medal is more than enough. save waste ! I still cant find results anywhere.”

“Fun - People put a lot of time and effort into training for, travelling to, booking hotels etc., and the results/prize giving (or even just recognition) was more than a little deflating. How can you have a trophy for Male relay but not Female? Olympic age group recognition but not Sprint, published timings at least 20 mins off true....”
