There or some minor points to be improved to reach the ultimate perfection: toilets at the start line to be operational with enougjmh water and power, better car parking signages and organization, medals to be available and some communications upstream the event 2 weeks ahead race with runner guide advice for training prepararion & recovery plan. “At the finish line special cheering to ladies and white men. Medals for 30k was not given out... however selectively 30k finishers were given the 50k medals. Help on the trail all around was great, however that was not how it ended on the finish line. Approching the finish line with a euphoric feeling welcomed with a selective cheering ruined it.”

“The route was marked excellently and never once did I feel like I could get lost. The people on the route we also brilliant and really motivating. It’s worth noting that the route was actually more like 33km according to the gps on garmin and this should have perhaps had an impact on the cut off time. I came in just before the cut off and on the down stretch (last 5km) I genuinely couldn’t have gone any faster. All in all it was a great day and really well organised. Thank you ”

“I really enjoyed this event. It was well organised and the route was very challenging. There was a great atmosphere and all of the support staff were very helpful. I have one slightly negative point...my Garmin recorded a total distance of 19.7miles (approx 32km) I entered the 30km event, expecting it to be 30km. The extra 2km at the end was a little frustrating. Thank you very much, I had a great day. I did not receive a finishers medal, as they hadn't arrived on time. ”

“The most rewarding yet challenging trail race of the UAE with no doubt ! The path offers the best dramatic views I ever experienced on trails, and calls for good technical skills alike. The slopes encountered match with the ratio 30k/2000m elevation gain... as expected ! So get ready for adventure, adrenaline and endorphin fix !!! Last but not least for this sort of event: the organisation was spotless with very friendly people. Overall, an exceptional event, which I won't forget :-)”

However, the distance marking was very inconsistent and the course was seriously problematic. The down section in particular was really really awful and unpleasant. It was dangerous in spots and ruined the whole experience. I will happily run with this organizer again. But never again on that course. ”
