“The main thing I would like to see improved is clear markers for the distances. According to my smart watch I ran 12 KMs in the race. I followed other racers ahead of me who I assume made the same error. Clear markings of when to turn round would have made this much better for everyone involved. # That said it was nice to get the distance into my legs as I have not ran more than 5km since March. Overall I really enjoyed it and I would rather run further than not far enough.”

Many people cheated. 10k course was slightly off the measurement BY TWO FULL KILOMETERS Results messed up and not uploaded to date Organizer contacted people asking them for the finish times as they messed the finish times ”

“The fore mentioned mishap shouldn’t detract from the fun run experience. Nice atmosphere, great post race refreshments and enough water stations on the 10k (12k) course. Big thank you to the volunteers. It was a 10k race with an extra 2k absolutely free so feel free to be annoyed but I choose to see the positives and enjoyed the start of my dubai 30. “Organizers did great, put a lot of efforts, all details considered - great ambience, fruits, water,ambulance, photos, good quality medal. Mostly I like they did 1 loop of 10k track, as making 2 loops always discouraging for me). As it was their first race - first races never go smooth so 10kers did 12.3k but I didn’t mind about running extra 2k. This race is not about Olympic achievements it’s about team spirit, fun and support and I got it all! I am sure next race everything will be perfect!”

No start list, race started 30 mins late, no KM markers, course was totally wrong and was 12k instead of 10k and now they are asking US to send in our times so they can compile results. It was the worst race I've done and I think everyone should have their money back. ”

“I attended the 10K race this morning in Meydan. This was the most disorganised race event I have ever attended. It was beyond a joke that the 10k runners actually ran on average 2.3km extra. There were no markers along the route, nothing to indicate the halfway mark, or any other distance. Although there was a medal, not even a T shirt was given. This was a shoddy race all round, terrible management. First and last time I am entering for this race. ”

“It was amazing run nice location. But we start a-bit late and we had face tag/ number echo. ( they let us just grab any number and after the race we had to find the guy ant explain what happened so he can change the timing on the system to your name and the number you ran with. I’m not sure still if I’ll get the timing and pics from the race. ”

“Race started half an hour late. Looked like this was mainly because the team had not arrived on time to set up. Stewards did not know where to direct people - race ended up being over 12k. This was also dangerous as it meant runners were running on roads with cars on busy roundabouts. No stewards on certain parts of the course where people needed there to be e.g. at the first turn there was no marker so people could turn round wherever they wanted. Really disappointing from start to finish. ”

“It was not organized well at all but as I understand it is the first race that was organized and all respect I still enjoyed it at the end. Would love to run a Aspire race again and hope they learned out of their mistakes. We are all human and I believe they need a second chance.”
