“Firstly, they didn’t let you leave your bag with things; they only accepted the bag that the organizers gave out. But they didn’t write about this anywhere. When we asked what to do, the organizers said we don’t know. Secondly, the start for 10 kilometers were detained for 1 hour and began to run in the very heat. In the third, we stood in line for medals. In the fourth, there was no shade and the toilets were closed quickly. Terrible organization. I wouldGive It-10 ifItWere Possible To Rate It”

“not super well organized.. cheap t-shirts and medals.. unmarked course.. starting times of different distances not thought through (got very crowded at some point).. so much room for improvement.”

They were still preparing the course while we were running with a guy plugging stuff for the timing. My wife didn't show in the results and has no pictures. Way too crowded, cannot have people coming and going in opposite directions in a race at speed with ethiopians and children and people of different levels bumping”

“There was no announcement of the race start, the course layout was a mess having to keep going on and off the track. Way too many people who were not registered were on the track. Cones were still being laid out during the race. People running both sides of the track in both directions. Ran out of cups and being handed a 2L bottle mid half marathon is not ideal. Ran out of pocari sweat, and even ran out of medals. Finishing a half marathon and being offered a 5km medal alternative. ”

“Feel so blessed to participate. I just think Marshall's could have kept people in one direction onto her side... there was a lot of crisscrossing from left to right. Possibly also danger tape around the toilets which were in the actual running track and lots of people wondering across where people were running. The water stations and sweat drinks were fabulous and my water was also cold. Gorgeous medal and loved thw whole experience. ”

“The 10k was supposed to start at 7:15. But we started at 7:26 approx. No one was there to explain why the race started late. 7:15 was already late because the sun comes out and the route was covered with sun which made it even more diffocult to run the whole distance effeciently under the heat of the sun. Also the width of the choosen route is too small for that amount of people. At the start, i lost around 1:30 min just to get out of the crowd, as runners in front of me were too many and slow.”

“The start area was too small for the number of runners attending. Great service when picking up race bib in the morning of the run, but took long to get system set up. Good supply of water; unfortunately no one knew when price giving ceremony would be. ”

“The half marathon race seemed like an after thought. There was no mention of it starting by the radio host and i missed the start which put me back of the pack. The warer stations were positioned poorly and there was no pocari sweat left on the second visit to the stall. Due to all race dustances doing the same section on the west side and the 10ks doing it twice in quick loops meant that it was was very dense in the latter sextion of the half marathon and very difficult to cut around the crowds”

“Nakheel is one of the biggest companies here in the UAE. That is why we expected the best experience for this fun run. The place was very nice. the view was very relaxing but not ideal for too many runners. There was no proper host during the run. 10k and some 5k runners ran altogether. when i asked,they didn’t know if it was for 10k & or 5k. there was only one water station for 5k. ? the medal landyard is not consistent, some got lanyard with 5K others didn’t. and more++ cant type more.?”

“The route was generally lovely and had a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, there were several issues which really affected my experience. 1) Signage! No signage from the parking to the start point, no KM signage. 2) A dangerous lack of water stops. I felt physically thirsty as a result. It was hot out on the boardwalk and we are in Dubai. This affected my performance. I had a terrible headache for the remainder of the day. 3) Getting the medals. Terrible chaos. 4) Severe lack of toilets!”
