“Great location/race, POOR timing organisation - 1. Event absolutely overpriced, in comparison to other similar events (AUH HM, DCSHM). 2. Race results are poorly managed, not even sure if there were timing mats/sensors thru' critical points on course to record splits (or to catch cheats!). My results are not even there on link sent (& despite several follow-ups my results are still not up). I've been denied a podium finish in my Age category. 3. Same medal for all race categories !! 4. Poorly organized award ceremony”

“Great course - More goodies in the race kit would have been nice (bars, gels etc) The race results were only posted in Gross time and the email stated the website would have the net time posted. We were encouraged not to stop our watches at the end for a picture as you have reliable timing service and now can't see my chip time, which is what most are interested in. ”

“Not that impressive for the amount paid - Thumbs up 1. Water stations 2 signages Thumbs down 1. Medal for 21 km is the same as 2.5km, 5km and 10km. 21km participants paid more and did not get a medal for 21km but one medal fits for all. Seriously! 2. At finishing line - instead of getting words of encouragement, I got “sorry mama no high five for you” (I finished when 2.5km mostly kids finished their run. 21km is not an easy run for some people, so please appreciate that. 3. Only 1 motivating Marshall. We need more. ”

“Fun running but not tProfessional Organizing - The race not organized well as I expected. the rout was not cleared due to mixed with 10 and 5 km runners. the value paid for the event was expensive compared with the things we received. ”

“Can be better - 1. Why prohibit the use of headphones! every runner trains with headphones ON, the race day shouldn't be any different 2. If you prohibit the use of headphones, install speakers throughout the track and play music for some entertainment 3. Medals for half marathon runners should be special, unique and different than those who ran 5k 4. it shouldn't be 21k, it should be 21.2k 5. I ordered XXS size for my son. on collection day they said its not available because the vendor did not provide?”

“Nice event - great course - The only criticism I have is that the ONLY place there was a split in the route for the 10K and 5K runners there was no signage. There were marshalls there to guide but a sign would have been useful! It took a long time for the results to be posted!”

“Very good first race - Very easy to park and get to race village. Nice course. One location for race pack collection on one day was hard work.”

“Good 1st time - I think this will become a great annual event - this was a good first attempt. Agree with some of the comments about poor marshaling - there was one point towards the end of the 10k where runners did not know where to go - I am sure this will be ironed out by next time. Cold sponges were appreciated!”

“Race has potential. Some improvements needed. - -Distance markers incorrect on second round of 21.1 km race. For example on second lap 2 and 12 km marker cannot be on the same board, as the extra 500m at Marsa Plaza has not been taken into account. -My name is not on the results list. -Marshalling was good.”

“Good event overall somethings to consider - Huge positives on this event however, for some reason my bib did not pick up timing which is shame! (#203 for reference) For the price paid for the half what value is there compared to say to 5 km? Just saying but perhaps a dedicated medal for the half marathoners would go along way ”

“No refreshments after running... - First, lt was very difficult to find the venue. Where was the vox cinema parking? Secondly, no refreshments were available... They said it would take 30min to be delivered. A bit disappointed after 21k. Can be improved. But the course was nice, I enjoyed the race itself. ”

“A good event that can be great with few improvemen - The support station were too small and most of the time only on 1 sie of the parcour. Runners had to slow down or stop for the water. At one of the last station, I would appreciate to get a Gel but they were on the table behind the volunteers that was giving water. They wee all really nice and smiling to us but not 100% efficient.”

“Motivation and encouragement - Really enjoyed the event however I feel there was very little/no motivation or encouragement from organisers/support staff. Simple things like a ‘well done’ or a clap and cheer along the route make the difference when running. The only ones who were encouraging runners were the dragon boat racers. Organisers were clearly rushing to get though the awards. Perhaps less awards, but make a bigger deal of the ceremony? Other than that it was a really enjoyable and well organised event. ”
