“I enjoyed the race a lot, but I found it lacking in many ways. Obstacles were supposed to be the centerpiece, but weren't tough nor muddy, I found them underwhelming, lacking diversity, too few and far between, most were just crawling. The race's difficulty was unnecessarily shifted to the trail, which was the hardest overall due to the soft sand, it's a massive energy siphon, I would've loved that as a feature, rather than 80% of the race. I suggest a condensed race, 3-5k with 20+ obstacles. ”

“The organisation was not good. The water run out of the men toilets. The women toilet seats were broken. The guide was sent too late. The food available was too limited. One place run out of food. The other was disappointingly vegetarian. The obstacles were very few. ”

“The event was well organized and the trail was great but i hated that there is no medals for finishers. It was only available for the 1st 3 rankings and not all finishers like any other marathons/races/challenges. I did spartan and it was amazing. My only motivation for these events is the medal as i collect them and we dont have enough races per year here in saudi”

“It was a great experience and adventure but I have 2 points need your consideration 1- the toilets are dirty without and tissue and soap!!! No changing room 2- it good to offer some snack included in the race fees (ex sandwich and juice) ”

“Checkpoint stewards gave wrong directions or were not even present. I was leading with 2 minutes over the second and because of the lack of knowledge about the circuit from the stewards my run got short and I was redirected to the finish line with only 5k run done. No follow up done by organizer.”

“there was no trash bins during the trail so you find empty bottles every where. the obstacles were way easier than what we see in the US. the marks that lead the trail destroyed during the race and in 2 points i could easily get lost if i did not see players from long distance so i went to them and discovered that i took a shortcut and skipped 2 obstacles. ”

“Those things could improve: 1. Better communication pre-event, clarifying the course details, route and obstacles 2. We asked Some volunteers some basic questions of the race, most didn’t know what to answer 3. Guide marks in the course can be clarified better most racers went off track sometimes 4. Some obstacles were there But overall a very good first event and an excellent course”

“It was good for the first Tough Mudder in Riyadh, however, it was not as good as the Tough Mudder I did in Texas a few years ago for 3 reasons: 1. There was sand, and water, but no mud. Please figure out how to get mud next time. 2. The 10KM course was only 8.44KM 3. The obstacles were too easy. I made it through electroshock therapy without getting shocked. There should be slippery mud and hills to climb underneath to make it harder.”
