“No timing may at start. No marshals on the course. Medals were for a beach games event, not triathlon. No banana at finish line. Briefing was unable to be heard and led by someone who has never spoken public ally or had no knowledge of triathlon. Get a megaphone at least. Very poor, the worst I’ve seen in years here. ”

“Love the venue & routes etc but safety in the water was invisible - no kayaks visible or in action. Nothing at end such as drinks apart from water and yet we waited around for prize giving. Coffee would have been welcome”

“- not enough information about the race rule beforehand -swim part was late ..and briefing was short and not possible for everyone to hear - the swim route was not marked well, people in the bit boats were making lots of waves and then they disappeared when you need to ask them which way.. I didn’t feel safe if something would happen to me in the water I would have no boats around ..they should use kayaks and be in the water close by with everyone till last moment They run out of water/ no Food”

“No one could hear the briefing at start. Where was the loudhailer? Please have a commentor at the finish line to announce athletes finishing.”

“This was one of the worst organized races we have attended in the UAE!!! We are racing most races across the country for different distances and age groups so I think we have a good understanding about what a race can/should look like! Hm, was about to tell you our observations but the box would not allow me to write my feedback... thats very sad as there is lots to improve!! Why did you not get support of one of the renown companies who organize races regularly? ”

“Cars entered the track before cutoff time not enough water available always medal does not indicate anything about Triathlon ”

“Transition area, in/out directions, distances/laps and bib collection, restrooms availability were advantages. Shortage in Hydration, absence of race village, gun swim start with improper arrangement, quite finish line, and unavailability of photographers were disadvantages.”

“Less organizers , no fruits / juices after race But overall OK ”

“- Not enough volunteers to help - volunteers are not well informed about the event - wrong information and as giving to the kids at the start of the event , led to Disqualification. - information like results and photos are not found easy - time giving for the start was not accurate We had to wait 45 min for the registration to open ”

“- incomplete map, not mentioned where are race kit collection, aid stations, toilet, 1st aid station etc. For the bike and run map they lack clarity - No shops to buy last minute items. Saw 1 participants looking for where she can buy a race belt. - no sound system, race breifing is so poor. - ambulance not complete and staff does not know what they are doing. - no give aways (except for water and medal) like shirt, gels, fruits etc - still waiting for the result online. Its more than 12 hrs. ”

“It was excellent! I think, the ceremony was a little bit long. Most of could not do it.participants tried to be on time on breakfast, but.. couldn't do this”

“Delayed awarding ceremony. Briefing, before the water distance, was too poor, unlikely anyone heard him except the first raw of athletes. On the cycling distance a car managed to cross my way on a roundabout creating a dangerous situation. I lost my speed and pace. There was no police or volunteers to prevent it. ”

“Buoys are small and hard to see and the colors are not bright enough. An ausie exit for a wavey day could have been better. There are no music. The person explaining the briefing does not have a microphone. There are no proper bike rack numbers and you have to rack your bike anywhere. No staff watching the bikes. The bike route has an excess of 4kms. It was 44 instead of 40. The run route has a water staion on 2.5 only when you go back, you have 5k without water. The run course is terrible.”

“It was poorly organized. During briefing there is no megaphone for the announcer. There is no music. There is no kayak lifeguard during the swim. They were standing on the shore for what? Just in case, they want to save an athlete in the swim course, how they will go after them?”

“The transition area did not have boxes and many people left bags... Including one UNDER my bike. The race briefing could not be heard and the details/maps had only come the night before.”

“Could have been better organised. Briefing was not good and the toilet facilities were terrible - dirty toilets and no toilet paper. Award ceremony was not well presented. There could have been vendors for food and drink for sale before and after event. And vendors with drinks and snacks for the athletes afterwards. ”

“My son did cycling 10km instead of 5km . No one to guide on the course. The website booking was confusing for the Juniors Sprints distances. Late announcements also for the events. ”

“Although stunning location the organisation left lot to be desired. Race briefing only came @ 8pm the night before, event has no atmosphere, with no music, no PA system. Everyone just milling around and then suddenly the race started….. After the race you got handed a warm bottle of water, not even a banana or anything else available. I would recommend keep your AED23000 prize money and spend it on your event and your the bulk of your support, aka majority of competitors. ”

“Course is excellent. Needs a microphone for briefing. Too long afterwards in hot sun for awards especially for children waiting almost 3 hours after finishing their race.”
