“Well organized despite Covid though I could see that keeping the mask on at each transition was hard and virtually no one was following it except for the staff. Some dangerous riders along the way that was really scary but the police escort did an amazing job! Over all, very pleased and might... do it again after all the pain and suffering;-) ”

“Very disappointed by the lack of mask wearing, social distancing & related feed stop etiquette - complete free for all with no-one handing out fruit or enforcing hand washing. Also unhappy with the compltet lack of a ride captain in my group M. We ended up merging with group L, which broke social distancing rules as well as ride safety group separation rules. ”

“Team F captain was’t very good. Group kept on splitting and speed was going between 24 and 43 during the first 90km. People need to be reminded on peleton etiquette as not following can cause problems and be dangerous.”

“Great event. The system of support car did not work as expected. It came very late to rest stops or we didn’t see it at all. Were in group J. The police escort was a bit erratic at times.”

“Great event overall. Smooth road, nice scenery (especially after shawka). On the negative side (for the race's improvement), i found that the location of the refuel stations was not accurate compared to the race guide (frustrating when trying to manage efficiently fluids consumption). Also, choice of foods was not great (only bananas). All fine otherwise, well done.”

“The long stop in Kalba is basically cutting the challenge in 2. So may be a different route should be looked at now to avoid the coast and Fujairah, especially if we cannot go thru the tunnel anymore. The last stop is not necessary for experienced riders so group A and B for example should be allowed to make three stops max. The buffet at Le Meridien was of a very good quality even the boxes with starters and deserts ”

“The organizers tried their best in difficult conditions. The big problem was the inability to extend the time cuts due to the extraordinary wind that slowed everyone down. Groups at the back were severely penalized for starting 30min behind the leaders and many missed the cut as a result. ”
