“I enjoy my entire race”
“It was a greaat run, ut It started to late,”
“Very late start Far too long a wait at the start line (40mins) so dehydrated. Also, many people pushed to the front near the start with no marshals bothering. Mass start meant tots of pushing and falling. No communication after the race about the awards ceremony not being for age groupers so waited for ages. QR scan poster for results didn't work. Otherwise the actual run for Sheikh Zayed charity was a great cause for a fantastic leader of the UAE.”
“The start time was only mentioned on Instagram stories of the account that nobody follows, such things ñeeds to be mentioned because 40mins waiting is a long time! Also, the road closure was unfortunate as cars did not have a way out because of poor road managing. Water stations were not enough. And the start lady was extremely annoying!! She needs to find something else other than abu dhabi are you ready?! I really just wanted to go home. ”

“It was a decent run with a lovely ambience and spirit. A decent number of participants and positive vibes in general. Things to improve - Delayed start; Runners had to wait in line for an hour; Results should come early, at least an indicative timing to be available when the runner finishes the distance. Unfortunately, none of my photos were taken; at least a photo at the finishing point should be available for all runners.”

“Late start for general mass. Results page not available to check time and position after the race. No information regarding podium presentation - Again onto the elite athletes got to go on stage to collect place medals and prize money. Elite athletes getting priority with everything. Elite athletes being included within general mass rankings which is very very unfair, people missed out on podium positions because of this and it can be very upsetting. They should have had their own categories. ”

“The start was far too late. I felt the heat from the sun impact my performance by the time the run actually started. The ceremony felt disorganised and the announcer's voice was too loud (for indoors) and harsh - it hurt my ears”
“Organization at low level. 1. Start for 10k delayed for 30 min! 2. Premium starts contradict the intent of such events, which is joining of people for one aim. 3. There were No pace makers. 4. Some ladies were riding a cab to make pictures of runners. It was distracting, no need to say that no one gave them right to take pictures. They were almost driving the cab with running track. It was not a camel track. Awful! ”

“I was very concerned for the safety of my kids and other small children. Lots of adults in the 3km behaving badly. Pushing and not being a sports person. Not many marshals trying to control the situation. Please look at the starting grid and get the kids in different group. This is an accident waiting to happen. Results took 3 days also :(”

“ The event was delightful, and we had a positive experience overall. However, I do have a concern regarding the bottled water situation at the mid-run water station. Runners are grabbing water and then discarding the bottles in the aisle, which is quite disappointing. To address this issue, organizers should consider placing trash cans strategically throughout the event area to discourage littering and maintain cleanliness.”

“The race started very late! We had to stand at the start line for 40 minutes. This was really disappointing. We should have been shown “more kindness” as runners. It was hot for us to run at that hour, this should have been considered. ”

“Unorganized got my bib number different than SMS. My friend got 3K category and he registered on 5K. Not enough water supplies stations people I reach on one and they didn't but water in front and I have to skip it. They use gun time record and not bib record. ”
“1. The Race started 20 minutes late. 2. The 5k and 3k started to close to the 10k. This resulted in fast 10k runners having to weave through the 5k and 3k participants close to then end of the finish. This was highly frustrating as most of these people were walking side by side blocking everyone behind them. All categories should be separated by at least 30 minutes. ”
“My event timing was incorrect (I have 2 timing devices both showing the same time and quicker than the “official” result. Start process should be in waves of smaller groups to avoid crowding Event did not start on time, so had to wait Results were not available at the event despite QR codes being posted, on line 4+ hours later The event award ceremony was confusing and announcements unclear to understand”

“The race started an hour late and it was very crowded. There should have been more of a staggered start. And it should start on time so runners can be ready and warm. Also it was very hot on the race because it started so late. The parking was very bad. There was only one exit for all cars of all the people who attended to leave???”

“The race has been well organized. Thank you. I have two suggestions: 1) please if you can separate the children's category from the older ones in the distance of 3 km. They put themselves on the front line and act as a stopper that prevents a good start and creates a risk of accidents. In fact, I have seen a child fall and many people jump over it. “race started 45 minutes late, we were lined up all ready to go and waiting for over 45mins with absolutely no reason. At the end of the race there were far too many people walking and over crowded near to the finish line. The walkers should have moved out of the way of people who were running. Too many kids running around with no parents towards the end of the race. At the end of the race there were far too many people crowed in one area and felt very poorly organised ”

“The start of the 3km race was so poorly organised. Letting runners into the 5km pen so they could be at the star of the 3km race was evtremdly dangerous. The people who patiently waited behind the rope were suddenly 150-200 people from the front leading to crowds pushing and crushing adults and children. Then a false start lead to a child on the floor with people trammelling on him. Never felt so scared at the start of a race.”

The ceremony took too long, they spoke Arabic and the English speaker was not understandable. The results were never published on time, so I had to waste time there. The award was not divided between premium and ordinary participants - so there is no chance to receive an award among professional runners. Very disappointed”

“The run was scheduled to start at 7am. It ended up starting after 8am. There was also practically no control of the start area, with many runners pushing in at the start rather than lining up behind the rope. ”
“It was an extremely exciting and fun experience although it was quite difficult due to it being my first marathon let alone it being a 10km marathon. I enjoyed every moment speaking to new people taking in the view and just the physical activity was amazing. reaching that finish line got sweeter with every drop of sweat given the chance I would run it again although the part where I saw many runners throw empty plastic bottles every did sour my mood using my Time to clean after them.”

“Organization of the Race set up was great even direction of traffic into the parking. 3km race was a disaster. There was a large contingent of runners that attended but with intention to run. They broke the barrier to take a short cut on the 3km route. They ran across the road in a line to block other athletes. It was a disappointment. ”
“Spectate kids and adults. Give correct names with bibs in the first place. Potentially give the money to the charity - lol ? and not as prize money. Wouldn’t recommend the race again. ”

“First time I partipated with my daughter, and unfortunately I got so frustrated. Boys, specially teenagers came latte, jumped the fance and started squizing untill I found unrespcted and left to the back, as I didn't know about gun shoot as my daughter has never run other competitions with run gone timing. In 7 competitions she participated she got 1 or 2 place, unfortunately her timing was not good due to this situation. Even if I new about the different couting I wouldn't keep her in that plac”

“The race pack collection in Reem mall was excellent. The issue I faced was after warming up for 20minutes ahead of my 10km race we waited for 45minutes in the holding pen. I can’t body completely cooled down and I didn’t feel prepared to run a 10km race. It was waaay too delayed it really was ridiculous. No warm up ahead of a very very difficult course is not a good idea. Thankfully I didn’t pull a muscle but I’m sure lots of other did. Disappointing as I was very excited for it.”

“بشكل عام شكرًا لكم على الفعالية، رحم الله الشيخ زايد وبارك في عمر عيال زايد. تمنيت لو كان تغيير فئة السباق أسهل عن الوضع الحالي، حيث حاولت على مدار يومين أواصل معكم لتغيير الفئة ولم أستطع، مع أنه من السهل التغيير في منصة تسليم الأرقام. أثناء السباق في الفعالية تمنيت أنه لو تم توزيع مشروبات الصحة خاصة للفئات 5كم و10 كم، لأن الماء لا يكفي، وكثير من المشاركين هم جُدد وليس لديهم خبرة. شكرًا لكم”
“I did ,but long awaited for 45mins ! Let's consider the Kids and minor ages, you cannot mixed elites with Kids! Especially in the 3km it's really dangerous. The race was good,,but organizers need to do something better,,keep time to avoid long waits, Thank you.”

“جمالية الفعالية باسم زايد الخير طيب الله ثراه، ولاكن الادارة التنظيميه ليست بسيئه ولاكن تحتاج الى تنظيم اكثر والالتزام بالتوقيتات والدفع بالمتسابقين على دفعات وليس ب 1618 متسابق مره واحده في سباق 5 كم وناهيك عن المسافات الاخرى، هذا السبب ادى الى عدم تمكني ومعضم المتسابقين بالوصول بالتوقيت المتوقع من المتسابق بسبب الزحمه وضيق المسار للجري بشكل كبير في دبي تم التنظيم لاكثر من 150 الف متسابق وليس لي 3000 متسابق يرجى الاخذ بالاعتبارات والتخطيط المسبق باحترافيه لانكم تحملون اسم زايد الخير ”
“Yes I do. We stood in the queue to takeoff for 45 minutes. By the time we started, people were cramping and overheating from just being pushed together. And my damn number never registered on the app so I have no time for the Run, thank you very much.”
“Omar was in the 3km race. The same as Zain, he got almost crushed at the staring line as the men were pushing. We had to put him at the start as he is pretty good. At the end he made second place. But it was too crowded and dangerous. He got very frightened. Otherwise we loved the race. Well done. Next time maybe you can do two or three races for the 3km, elite, general and kids. Many thanks for organizing such a good event. ”

“Zain was in the 3km race. It was too crowded at the start. He is only 6 but pretty good. So he needed to start at the front. But there he got almost crushed by men trying to push forward. It was very dangerous. He got frightened and cried. But at the end he got through it and ran well. Otherwise we loved the race. Well done. Maybe next time do also an elite race for the 3km distance. Or a separate race for kids”

“The start got delayed, and no info at all for us 5 km runners. And the result came out very late, long time after we finished, like 4 hours after. And then only the Gun-time, not any beep-time on the result list No photos of us runners like normal when you qlick on the runners in the result list. The race-track was good informed by the marshalls all over the race ;)”

“I ran for the first time. I liked the place of the race and the distance. Water and fruit were very useful. In general, a favorable impression and a great atmosphere of like-minded people. I didn't like the time delay, as I had children in a different category. I didn't like the fact that the start time counts after the shot, not individually. It should have been warned in advance. “Good event, I liked it. Only problems I noticed: route was slightly narrow for number of participant, escpecially on bridge, there was difficult to overtake slower people. Next issue - after finish I didn't notice water and snacks station, it might be there but not obviously where exactly. Lastly, I got impression that timing was started for entire run at one time, not once participant passes start frame. I saw difference between my garmin time and official time +/- 1 min, which is strange. ”

A tad more organization would have gained you 9 stars”

“Overall pretty good, but the organization could have been better. I compare it with the runs in Moscow (Russia), the starts there were never delayed, and this is very important for warming up. There were no storage rooms. Otherwise, it's not bad at all. Next time I'll run again.”
“I found it disorganised- it was supposed to begin at 7am and it was 7.50 before we started which meant it was hotter. People jumping in and out of the race, children y allowed to run on the track. ”

“I did not receive any timing information. My bib number and name do not appear anywhere on the results - same situation for two members of my family. I emailed after the event and still have not received a response. I was concerned when I turned up to collect my race pack and was given an entirely different bib number from the one allocated to me. The run was incredibly late starting. Information regarding podiums was sketchy (no age group podiums only overall winners). ”

I couldn't go all the way to pick it up on Thurs & Fri because of the last minute notice, so I had to get it on race day, and no one told me where my group was. So, I didn't get to run with my bib. Also, there was too long of a delay to start and by the time we started it was an hour later. ”
“the selection of the venue wasn't fair. especially there are more suitable places in Abu Dhabi like Yas island, Huderyat , etc. with better facilities / "wide" lanes and tracks (instead of single lane being used by all racers the announcements couldn't be heard clearly by racers away from the start point”

Also, my daughter tried on the Large - she is 24 weeks pregnant and it fit exactly the same as the XXL. Does not make sense. Try to start on time. The 5km started more than 10 minutes late. I am not used to this in Abu Dhabi.”

“Hello, I have also sent an email to others at Premier Online and awaiting a response. My son, Xander Du Plessis (Bib Number 520) ran the 5km race today on the 25th of November 2023. His time was 19min 20sec, and according to the results online it says he ran 28 min which is incorrect. Someone else got his time with a different bib number. I would require someone to look into this asap please and also check if all the results are legit from your side and confirm his position. Thank you ”
“1. The 10k race started very late until it got hotter, nobody wants to run in the heat. We came early and waited more than we should. That beats the whole purpose of the race if you cant organize an event to start on time. Extremely disappointing. ”
