I know of 3 other people that said their watches recorded closer to 10.5 than 10km. Would be nice to have signs along the way to indicate how far you've ran. Have a few boxes or bins for empty water bottles just after the water stations. Busses after the race were very poorly organised and we had to wait in the sun for a very long time. ”

“The race itself was great, but the shuttle service to and from was not organised as well as it could have been. I also think the race should have started earlier as the sun was too intense by the time we started running. The speaker system wasn't as clear as it should have been, resulting in many people starting their races late, having not known their races began. The starting times also did not match the starting times communicated in the race guide pdf that was shared.”

I was not informed about the finishing procedures, even though I enquired with two volunteers about - 1) the completion of the event so I could get a badge or certificate of participation after my 10K run, 2) the drop-off bus back to the drop-off/pick-up spot near Wahat Al Karama. ”

Not enough bins for people to throw their empty water bottles so the road was littered, wet and dangerous to run over bottles.”

There should have been a better sound system in place for such a large event. I wear a hearing aid and could barely hear the lady with the megaphone announcing the races.”

“The overall event was well organized. The bus situation was too messy, in the morning at 6am we were at Zayed City sports searching for the buses since no one I formed us in which gate they will be waiting. Leaving from the event at 8.30 we were searching the buses that were going to Zayed city sports and the people of the organization didn’t know either to help us. We stood on the line for an hour to get a bus, priority was given to people that had skipped the line and waited next to the buses.”

“It was a nice run for a good cause. There was plenty of info prior to the event in regards to the bus service, parking, timing etc however there was little or none regarding after the event. In fact there was misinformation and confusion after the event on how and where to get the bus. Eventually getting on the bus, the driver did not follow the direction of the other buses and the traffic controller and went a different route. We went on a 50 minute bus drive around AD such a waste of time”

The overall event organization was not upto UAE standards .”

“This run was very important to us as both myself and mother suffer with MS. The cause was important so we wanted to be part of this great initiative The run was so badly organized, chaos at the start line with not enough clear signage and movement of crowd. It was a mess to be honest. My sister ended up taking a wrong turn as the signs were unclear and she had to take a taxi back. The buses were chaos on arrival too. ”

“Poor organisation. No onsite parking. The bus system was awful as nobody was directing it. People skipping the line were not being stopped. The event was so crowded. The ladies calling out which race was next could not be heard as they had no megaphone or mic. The run itself was so crowded it felt like an obstacle race. Fast runners seen physically pushing kids out of the way to get ahead. Grown men cutting corners or beginning to run the wrong way is a huge safety risk. ”

“Great event with fantastic energy around the city. The route was nice - especially running past the mosque. The volunteers handing out water did. It effectively. What I would change is that it became too concentrated when the 10K, 5K, 3K and 1K all merged at the end. Many people were blocking the way and thus affected my time. It is a charity run, I understand this. But I wanted to improve my running time. The last two kilometres, I had to dodge many people.”

“This is the worst race I’ve ever had. The arrangements and marshals were really rude to people. Parking was a nightmare, people were walking for 25 minutes to get to the parking lot as buses were still waiting. ”

“The event was amazing first time doing it, very well organised. For the running, could you put the the distance completed on the track so example, the 10km run. When you’ve reached 1km have a sign say 1km, when you have completed 2km have a sign saying 2km completed and so on. Hope that makes sense. Towards the end where the 1km was joining the 10km people it was very cramped, could you maybe for next year have different routes as it was difficult getting through people loved it all ”

“Calling participants was not properly done as the use of hand speakers was the worst choice. They should organize participants in different categories before they enter the corral area. Parti ipants to be send in waves when a big number is participating. On the 5km route only one water station, very little, there shouldbe 2 at least. Buses leaving to parking areas was not organised at all, no signs, people are standing in a long queue and others are already went in the bus before. ”

“Very unsafe. Transition walk or stampede meant a hooligan run to the start line. Please use a pen system where runners are in one sectioned race and sent in 3 seconds waves. This run started too late, was too hot. Medal same as last years? Age group award ceremony was unknown and not communicated. Far too long too. Come on, let’s get Khaled AlQubaisi back to organise this properly- the best to do so. ”

“A bit need work on organizing ”

“Start line was very rushed as people were still arriving by bus. 10km runners had to try and squeeze through 5km runners. But ultimately the bus service was good. It was difficult to know what the schedule of events was. We waited at the podium outside near the race village for results only to find out we had to be within the hotel. No staff or signposts to advise us. But the event was definitely a success. Great amount of people. The commentators were excellent. Thank you very much. ”

“Lack of communication from the organisers about the starting time was not impressive. 10km general runner, we started a bit to late. Even though the road was clearly marked the point where we merged with shorter distance runner it became to congested so a person couldn’t run as fast anymore. ”

“My running buddy and I had a great run. Would suggest staggering the start with wave starts as it was a bit crowded for the first 2km's and sadly a number of runners coming back from the 10km may have been impeded by us slower runners. Podium Presentations the staff at Erth were unfortunately unable to guide us to the presentation area - an easy fix for future years. Bus service from ZSC needed better lighting and signage and a system - was chaotic”
